The Nupi Lal Day is observed every year on December 12. The day is also observed by various NGOs and women’s organizations across the state as well as outside where Manipur is are settled. Manipur observed the 82nd Nupi Lal Day or Nupi Lal Memorial Day on 12th December 2021. Manipur paid rich homage to the brave women of the state who fought for justice against the British colonial rulers and monopolistic trade interests in the Nupilals (women wars) of 1904 and 1939.
