ICAR develops India's first T2T reference genome for pigeonpea.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research released India's first fully annotated telomere-to-telomere reference genome for the pigeonpea variety Asha. The genome was developed by ICAR-National Institute for Plant Biotechnology in New Delhi. This achievement provides a complete genetic resource to support advanced pigeonpea research, crop improvement and higher pulse production in India.
